“From Universal Standards to Contextualized Application: Quality + Accountability + Safeguarding in Action!”

This session aims to provide an integrated understanding of quality, accountability, and safeguarding in humanitarian action, with a particular focus on contextualizing related standards for local settings. A panel from Sphere Standards, CWSA and the co-creation workshop facilitators and selected participants will present and debate some emerging key issues based on findings from the field perspective. The session will kick off by reviewing the outcomes of the Sphere Contextualization Thematic Sheet and CWSA’s collaborative efforts, introducing the holistic approach of quality, accountability, and safeguarding that CWSA champions, alongside Sphere’s focus on contextualization. Following the introduction, the session will move to an interactive marketplace where participants will be engaged with various co-creation tools and materials demonstrated by Sphere focal points and workshop attendees. This will be followed by a plenary session for feedback and final reflections, drawing together insights from the discussions.
