In a humanitarian crisis, camps and/or camp like settings are often the only places where internally displaced persons and refugees can seek protection and assistance. To showcase progress in professionalisation and accountability within the Global Camp Management and Camp Coordination (CCCM) Cluster towards these affected populations, we are pleased to invite you to the launch of the official platform for the Minimum Standards in Camp Management handbook. The event will be held virtually on July 15th at three o’clock in the afternoon (3pm Central European Summer Time) 2021. This launch makes available and presents the first edition of the Minimum Standards, which measures how affected populations have equitable access to assistance from site management agencies.
Over the past three years, the standards have been developed through a multi-agency working group. This group has drafted, edited, and refined, conducted field testing and piloting, and is now ready to share them with you for use in planning, program development & implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and advocacy.
