I am a disaster management specialist with more than 15 years’ experience, with a particular interest in taking a child-centered approach. In January 2020, I was awarded a Doctoral of Philosophy degree from Macquarie University, Australia. I also completed a Master of Research degree from the same university. I am a senior research fellow of the Resilience Development Initiative (www.rdi.or.id), General Chairperson of the Indonesian Disaster Management Society (www.mpbi.info) and board member of the Consortium for Disaster Education in Indonesia.
My experiences as a trainer/ facilitator:
• More than 200 hours experience of delivering training on Leadership and Management in Emergencies, reaching more than 200 senior managers and all Country Directors in Asia.
• More than 180 hours experience of delivering first response training to Emergency Response Teams in the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.
• Other training facilitation experiences including Sphere Humanitarian Standards, Integration of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, Education in Emergencies, Water-Sanitation-and-Hygiene in Emergencies, Safe Schools and School based Disaster Preparedness, Contingency Planning and Preparedness, and IASC Cluster Coordination.
