Manuela Farina, Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Bologna (Italy), postgraduate studies in International Cooperation and Development (Hegoa Institute, UPV); and Master in Gender, Society and Politics, PRIGEPP, FLACSO Argentina. I have more than 10 years of experience in development and humanitarian assistance projects with a focus on gender, intersectionality and human mobility.
I have developed my professional career in different instances among which, in the United Nations System, in the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, UN Women; Fundación Esperanza; CARE Ecuador; Plan International. I also have experience in different countries in Latin America, working as a technician in international cooperation projects and as a specialist in gender and protection. I am a Sphere Facilitator and have given several workshops on “Sphere and the prevention and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)”, deepening on the Sphere sections that provide guidance on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA). As well as on the Minimum Standards for the Protection of Children in Humanitarian Action.
