I am a humanitarian and development professional with more than 15 years of technical experience in South Asia, South-East Asia, Central Asia, Western Europe, Scandinavia, The Balkans, Southern Africa and East Africa working with UN, INGOs and the Government.
My technical specialties include Capacity and Organizational Development, Resilience Building, Humanitarian – Development – Peacebuilding nexus, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Emergency Response, Resource Mobilization, Partnership and Team Management.
Alongside my independent work, I am an oft deployed Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) Field Staff, RedR Trainer and Member (India, UK, and Australia) and technical expert for UN Agencies and I/NGOs and UNDP’s Global Surge Expert.
Through various deployment and work experience, I have imparted and gained significant experience in working with DRR and humanitarian stakeholders at various levels, through Andragogy, an experience-based approach.
As for educational qualifications, I have attained a NOHA Master of International Humanitarian Action from Uppsala Universitet and University College Dublin, (Erasmus Mundus Scholar) and an LL.M in International Law from University of Bristol (Commonwealth Scholar).
I am fluent in Bangla (MT), English and Hindi. I like to travel and enjoy working in a multicultural environment!
