“Taking Care of the Nature: Scaling Up Nature-based Solutions in Humanitarian Contexts in Asia” – an exchange learnings from Indonesia, Cambodia and Timor-Leste

This session will be set in a dynamic and multi-stakeholder dialogue. Starting with a brief introduction of the Nature based Solution (NbS), an unpacked guide from Sphere, and followed by a dynamic panel exploring strategies to scale up NbS in development and humanitarian action in the context of Asia. The discussion will feature insights from leading experts in the field, fostering dialogue on how these solutions can reduce risk, especially in the context of Indonesia, Cambodia and Timor-Leste. In addition, unpacking the strategy in engaging local leaders, and community members including girls, women and other relevant stakeholders in the decision-making process, fostering a sense of ownership and long-term viability in the community with a strong gender lens.
