Dongdashan Great Wall Research Camp
In the context of global climate change, extreme weather events have become one of the biggest risks facing China and the world. We can reduce disaster risk losses by preparing and building the capacity of social organizations, communities, emergency management agencies and enterprises to deal with disasters.
This training will mainly focus on the 2018 version of Sphere.
Training Objectives:
1. Social organizations and their members should improve the quality of accountability and credibility of humanitarian assistance projects through learning;
2. Grasp the minimum standards for humanitarian assistance based on the Sphere Handbook;
3. Learn Chinese standards in related fields and flexibly combine them with international standards;
4. Participate in the exploration of ways to cooperate in international disaster prevention and post-disaster assistance;
5. Professional ethics and project management of social organizations;
6. Capacity building in cooperation and coordination among social organizations, rational allocation of resources, and joint construction of responsibilities and trustworthiness in post-disaster assistance;
7. Design and share practical cases around the four core technologies of WASH, nutrition and food security, shelter and resettlement, and medical and health care in the Sphere Handbook.
