Introduction to the Core Humanitarian Standard 2024

This PowerPoint presentation introduces the Core Humanitarian Standard 2024. The CHS sets out nine commitments to ensure that organisations support people and communities affected by crisis and vulnerability in ways that respect their rights and dignity. The CHS builds on Humanitarian Principles and the Humanitarian Charter, and may be used in conjunction with Sphere and Humanitarian Standards Partnership standards. The presentation ends with a Group Exercise, in which participants identify challenges in meeting the commitments as well as ways to overcome them. This presentation updates module 6 of the Sphere Training Pack.
