About Francesca Ballarin
Since almost 20 years Francesca is a Sphere Trainer and she is founding member of the Sphere focal Point in Italy.
Francesca regularly delivers training on Sphere, Child Protection in Emergency (and CPMS), Education in Emergency (INEE standards and conflict sensitive education), and Mental Health and Psychosocial support for frontline workers of Governmental and Non-Governmental Institutions across the world and in various academic institutions in Italy.
Since 1999 she worked in conflict and post-conflict situations, and protracted crisis in many countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, occupied territories of Palestine, Pakistan, Syria, South-Sudan, Sudan and Turkey among others
Her work in the field concentrated on quality and accountability of humanitarian action, particularly as technical advisor on humanitarian protection, child protection and education in emergency and in evaluations of humanitarian assistance in complex crises.
