We know that students are being taught about Sphere standards in many universities around the world.
However, we don’t have detailed information on all the universities teaching Sphere, what they are teaching, or how we can best meet professors’ and students’ needs and expectations.
We wish to strengthen our relationship with universities – to ensure that the next generation of humanitarians receives the best possible grounding in humanitarian principles, minimum standards and how to use them.
Sphere is therefore working with a group of three student consultants from Geneva Graduate Institute on the following Applied Research Project: How best to equip the next generation of humanitarians and improve humanitarian assistance in the future? Assessing and improving humanitarian quality standards teaching in university curricula.
We will be holding a focus group for academics and the Sphere community to discuss how better to work with universities – please join us!
Full agenda to follow.
