HIRDO is a humanitarian relief and development organization that works on Emergency Response, Recovery and Development programmes across Somalia since 2004.
HIRDO promotes the humanitarian standards by strengthening coordination and improving accountability. By putting affected communities at the center of the response, HIRDO promotes the role of the affected communities as drivers of innovation through continuous consultation and focus on learning. In Somalia, where sometimes sensitivity may be high in certain areas of operations, our field teams are guided and adhere to internationally recognized humanitarian standards while striving to uphold the main core of fundamental human rights and principles of equality and equity.
