About Abraham Shepherd
Abraham is the founder & President of CGR* (Canadian Global Response), a federally-registered humanitarian organization in Canada- and part of the NGO Council of Alberta. He provides various trainings, including Sphere training, both in Canada & around the world.
He has lived & worked globally in the humanitarian field for 40+ years. He’s been involved/ led major disaster response: Iran earthquake, China earthquake, Georgia post-war, Lebanon post-war relief, and the ongoing Iraq & Syrian crises.
Based in Greece for 20+ years– he founded Oasis & A.M.C. (refugee centers)– he overseas Community Development & Disaster Relief project implementation & evaluation in the Balkans, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Abraham is Ambassador-at-Large for IIPT (International Institute for Peace through Tourism) ~ http://www.iipt.org
