SOS children’s Villages

Description

SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia (SOS CVE) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational charitable child welfare organization affiliated to SOS Children’s Villages International, the largest child development organization for children in the world. For more than 45 years, it has been working to build families for children in need, help them shape their future and share in the development of their communities. SOS CVE humanitarian response program (HRP) has been implementing various projects across the country. These projects are addressing multi sectorial and integrated needy population through health and nutrition, food security and livelihood, water and sanitation, settlement, shelter/NFIs, MHPSS, education, and child protection. Those actions has been implemented in line with sphere minimum standards in humanitarian assistance and programming since project design. In addition, SOS children’s villages has been working with consortium of partners and leading the DRA funded project, which helps to advocate and promote to apply Sphere standards in humanitarian decision-making and project implementation. Therefore, it would fit with the focal point role as the organization could use various collaborative platforms to increase awareness of partners and staffs and broaden networks.
