About Shahryar Rahmani
I am graduated in Master of Environmental Planning and I have several years of experience in management and execution of social development projects since 1997. Most of my experiences focused on different concepts such as rehabilitation and urban renewal, non-governmental organizations, participatory approaches, project management, facilitation skills, participatory methods and techniques, documenting, reporting, management of local development centers and defining response for affected population and refugees.
In my career, I have experienced many aspects of a project, from project manager to a member of a project team. I have obtained my experiences in various organizations such as UN agencies, INGOs/NGOs and cooperating with governmental institutions. I have done different parts of a project cycle, including needs assessment, proposal writing, implementation, funding, documentation, training and capacity building, monitoring and evaluation and advocacy individually or as a group. I was working in most parts of country with diversity of people (most vulnerable, marginalized, refugees, local leaders …).
Beside the training courses (proposal and report writing, monitoring and evaluation, NGO management and participatory approach) that usually I have been conducting, I decided to implement training workshop on Sphere. Although I have been familiarized with Sphere and used it since 2003 but my training experiences related to sphere started since 2013.
